Know About IELTS Exam
IELTS is an internationally recognized English language proficiency test designed to assess the language skills of candidates who need to study, work, or migrate to English-speaking countries
The IELTS exam comes in two distinct formats: Academic and General Training. The Academic Module is for students seeking admission to universities and other institutions; The General Training Module is for employment and immigration purposes.
Four sections of the IELTS exam is listening, reading, writing, and speaking. The range of Result of IELTS exam is between band 1 to 9. Every segment(listening, reading, writing, and speaking) has its own band scores, with the overall band score being the average of these four scores.
The entire length of the IELTS examination is 2 hours and 45 minutes. The Listening, Reading, and Writing sections are conducted consecutively, while the Speaking section may be conducted on the same day or up to a week before or after the other sections.
Pen-paper based IELTS exam is held 4-5 times a month and computer-based exam held almost daily.

There is no limit on the number of attempts, but you must wait at least 3 days between two consecutive test days.

There is no scheduled break during the test. Listening, reading, and writing are done sequentially. However, there is a short break before the Speaking test.
No, there is no pass or fail in IELTS. Scores are published on a band scale of 1 to 9, with organisations or institutions set their own scores requirements for various purposes.
The official IELTS results, in the form of a Test Report Form (TRF), are usually available 13 days after the test in case of pen paper-based exam and 3-5 days in computer-based exam.
Yes, you can request a maximum of five copies of your TRF to be sent to the institution or organization. You need to make this request at the time of registration or up to two years after your test date.
The Listening and Speaking sections maintain identical content and structure across both modules. However, there are variations in the content of the Reading and Writing sections. The Academic module emphasises academic topics, whereas the General Training module evaluates language skills relevant to practical and work-related contexts.
